Turn your valuable Website or blog traffic into earnings! If your site is about guitars and the music industry, or closely related, then we’d like to talk to you about earning commissions as a StewartGuitars.com affiliate.
It’s simple: if you refer a visitor from your Website or blog to our Website, and they make a purchase, you get a commission. You get 5% of the total sale before tax and shipping. Our Stow-Away electric travel guitar currently lists for $679.00 and, with available options, up to $904.00. So your commission per sale can range from $33.95 — $45.20.
How does it work?
Sign up as an affiliate and we’ll supply you with clickable images and textual links to choose from that are little advertisements for Stewart Guitars. You place them on your Website or blog in highly visible areas. When one of your site visitors clicks on an image or textual link they jump to StewartGuitars.com where they can learn about our travel guitars– and hopefully make a purchase! Each image or textual link contains unique tracking code that identifies you. We’ll know the buyer came from your Website. That’s how your commission gets credited to your account.
You can choose from a variety of our image or “banner” ad sizes that will fit spaces on your Website or blog. Banner images typically are placed in columns on Websites and blogs. Textual links are embedded in articles. Both the banner ads and textual ads count the same toward commissions. You’ll get complete instructions and suggestions on optimum placement of the ads.
Below are two examples of clickable banner ads to place on your site that will send your site visitors to StewartGuitars.com to get you a commission. The first one is 3000 x 250 pixels– a convenient size that fits Website columns. (It doesn’t have to be put there. It can be placed nicely in the middle of a page or blog post as well. It’s just a convenient size for a column.) The second one works well for the top right section of your Website’s header, or centered in the body of your textual content. There are other various sizes and aspect ratios to choose from. Some are long and horizontal, others are tall and narrow– and others in between. So you can find a width/height that will fit your site well.
Need help or advice? We won’t leave you dangling.
If you’re uncomfortable with inserting the HTML source code that creates the banners or textual links you can just forward it on to your Webmaster and tell him or her where you want it placed. Or if you don’t have a Webmaster, we can embed the code for you.
We’ll give you professional help you get more traffic to your Website– and make more commissions.
Clearly, we have an interest in helping you be a successful affiliate. And we can help you in several ways. For example, our Webmaster has over 24 years experience with Internet marketing. He can do a free evaluation of your Website’s search engine visibility. Then he’ll help you optimize your site with targeted keywords and point out proven factors that will help you get found better in the search engines. More traffic to your Website = more commissions!
How do you get paid?
You will be an independent contractor, and paid at the end of each month for total sales credited to you during the previous month. For example, if your January sales were $1,583 your 5% commission of $79.15 would be paid at the end of February. We pay via Paypal. So you’ll need a Paypal account ready when you sign up as an affiliate. Please note that occasionally we may offer discount coupons or a “sale” price. Your commission will be based on the net sale amount after the coupon is credited.

Our generous 30-day cookies protect you.
As you may already know, visitors to online stores don’t always make a purchase on their first visit. Some people like to think things over for a while. They may even come back several times before buying. That’s why we pass their Web browser a “cookie” that identifies their computer, and that they came from your Website. If they visit our site later– even if they bypass your site and come to us directly– and they make a purchase within 30 days of their first visit, you still get a commission. Some affiliate programs take advantage of affiliates by restricting the life of the cookie to ridiculous short times– even 24 hours– to rip you off. YOU brought that traffic, and you should be rewarded for it!
The Tax Man Cometh.
If your commissions in any calendar year are $600 or more we are required to send you– and the IRS– an IRS Form 1099-Misc. You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes on your commissions. When you sign up as a new affiliate we’ll snail mail you a paper IRS form W-9 to complete and return to us.
